What offline-first means in WoWBils

Routine sales, purchases, stock, parties, payments and reports use the database stored on the main Windows PC. A temporary internet outage does not need to stop a normal counter bill or prevent the shop from checking local records.

Local-first does not mean the product never connects to the internet. Creating an account, verifying email, activating the first device, paying for a plan and using online backup or sync all require connectivity.

A clear 14-day licence grace period

The desktop application periodically verifies that the licence is active. After a successful online verification, WoWBils provides a 14-day offline grace period. This gives a shop time to continue working through short or intermittent connectivity problems.

The computer must reconnect before the grace period ends so the licence can be checked again. An expired, cancelled or revoked licence can prevent app access even though local records remain stored on the PC.

Local records with optional online backups

Shop owners can create encrypted backup files in a local folder. Google Drive and WoWBils cloud are optional destinations for businesses that want an off-device restore point. Choosing an online destination does not change the desktop database into a browser-only system.

A sensible backup routine should include more than one recent copy and occasional restore checks. WoWBils provides backup options, while the business remains responsible for protecting its computer and keeping suitable backups.

Designed for real Windows shop networks

One computer acts as the main Server and holds the shop's source data. Additional Client computers can connect to it over the local network, allowing multiple counters to work inside the shop without sending every action through a remote web service.

Windows 10 version 1809 or newer and Windows 11 are supported on 64-bit computers. The recommended EXE installer includes the supporting components most users need and guides the owner through installation.
